The Anoka Football team spent time this past Saturday May 19th serving the communities that support them. The team had a total of 65 athletes donating 4 hours to the communities that support them totaling 260 hours of time donated to the cities of Anoka and Ramsey. The team does this as a way to give back to the communities that support them and it is also a major fundraiser for the program as they seek donations from community members for the time they donate to the cities. If you were not contacted by an Anoka player but would like to donate to the program please reach out to Coach Buerkle at email@example.com
Derek Edholm, class of 2006, and current Minot State offensive coordinator was selected as the 2nd player of the month following teammate Mitch Day. After leading the Tornado's to the section title in 2005, Edholm joined the Bemidji State team and set numerous program records. See more
You may notice Anoka football players going around your neighborhood in the coming weeks as they raise money for our community clean-up event that is scheduled for May 19th from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The 200 Tornado football players donate 5.5 hours of their time to help the cities of Anoka and Ramsey with spring clean-up, which includes planting trees, opening the local pool, painting light poles, and cleaning up parks. If you have a football player at your door please consider donating to this fund-raiser for our program. If you are interested in donating, but are unable to connect with a player please connect with Coach Buerkle at firstname.lastname@example.org .
